How to Compare Baby Laundry Detergent Cost per Load
Cost per load is the clearest comparison when a detergent package states a load count. Otherwise, price per fluid ounce avoids guessing dosage.
Prefer stated load counts
Divide package price by the manufacturer's advertised load count. Do not estimate loads from bottle size unless a dosage amount is provided.
Separate liquid and packs
Liquid detergent, powder, sheets, and pods use different dosing systems. Compare the same unit basis whenever possible.
Check washing conditions
Load claims may assume a standard dose. Large loads, heavily soiled clothing, or hard water can change the amount used in practice.
