How to Compare Diaper Cost per Diaper
Package labels can make diaper prices difficult to compare. Cost per diaper provides a consistent starting point when the diaper size and style are also considered.
Start with the exact size
Compare Size 1 with Size 1, Size 4 with Size 4, and so on. Diaper counts usually decrease as sizes increase, so a larger-size package can have a higher unit cost even within the same product line.
Calculate the unit price
Divide the current package price by the total number of diapers. Multipacks should use the combined diaper count, not the number of inner packs.
Use unit price as one factor
Fit, absorbency, overnight protection, skin sensitivity, and return options can matter more than a small unit-price difference.
