How to Find the Cheapest Paper Towels per Sheet

Large roll labels can make paper towels look easier to compare than they are. The quickest starting point is cost per 100 sheets, followed by a check of sheet dimensions, select-a-size format, and absorbency.

Calculate the package total

Multiply the number of rolls by the sheets in each roll. Divide the price by that total and multiply by 100. This calculation prevents a package with more rolls but very few sheets per roll from appearing cheaper than it really is.

Check what counts as one sheet

A select-a-size sheet may be smaller than a full sheet. Two products with the same price per sheet can therefore provide different amounts of paper. When dimensions are available, compare total square footage as a second measurement.

Separate price from performance

The lowest unit price is useful for routine cleanup, but absorbency and strength affect how many sheets are needed. If a cheaper towel requires twice as many sheets for the same spill, its practical cost may be higher.

Quick checklist
  • Use actual sheets, not regular-roll equivalents.
  • Compare similar sheet formats first.
  • Treat price and absorbency as separate considerations.

How Valuper uses unit prices

Valuper separates product identity, package quantity, price, and comparison unit. Online prices and packages can change, so shoppers should confirm the current Amazon listing before purchasing. Unit price is a comparison tool, not a complete quality rating.
